Elaine is disgusted by the ugly baby

By now, we all know Elaine Benes is not so much interested in marriage or having children (she nearly vomits and always mocks parents whenever kids are brought up!). She even questions "I couldn't raise a kid? C'mon, I love bossing people around!" in "The Blood."
Another example of her lack of caring or attention to children was in "The Hamptons" when the gang finally sees the baby and become horrified to find out the baby is ugly. Elaine, being the only prominent female character, has no desire to see the baby, let alone keep looking at it because she finds it ugly. This example definitely goes against the whole women-are-maternal-creatures thing, since Elaine, a woman, wants nothing to do with children and doesn't care for them at all.
In the first video below, Elaine is disgusted by the fact that her friends want her to start a family and move to Long Island. This shows the independence of Elaine and how getting married and having kids is not her number one priority, which makes Elaine one of few on television in the 1990s to push the boundaries and reject society's stereotype of what women should want.
The second video shows Elaine's befuddlement when she is compared to this ugly baby and also shows how she puts herself above a baby.
